Colorati means “the elite color specialists.” Our service is distinguished by our passion for amazing color, retouching and design services. Whether your style is edgy, classic film realism, or anything in between we can help you achieve your color goals!

Colorati is the culmination of over 15 years of experience in the photo industry. Our founder and lead color specialist, Leon Sandoval, began his journey shooting assignments for print media and working as a photo editor. Leon also spent many hours managing a traditional black and white darkroom during these early years.

Leon’s passion for digital imaging was born of the fusion between his darkroom experience and his natural talent for photography. Leon trained and educated photographers about post production as digital photography gained traction in the market. He later became a professional digital imaging specialist for a professional lab in San Diego and soon became the technician of choice for the organization’s top clients.

Leon then spent 5 years as a professional wedding photographer, where he realized there was a great need in the industry for color, retouching, and design services.
